About CARE in Our Community

Collaborative Assessments to Revitalize the Elderly (CARE) in Our Community Program combines educational seminars with comprehensive medical screenings and personalized recommendations from a medical professional, specializing in aging, to help older adults stay active, independent and healthy.

This collaborative team includes professionals from the Washington University School of Medicine Division of Geriatrics and Nutritional Science, the George Warren Brown School of Social Work, the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and the Washington University Program in Occupational Therapy.. All the members of the CARE Program use their skills, knowledge and expertise to prevent and treat symptoms of frailty in older adults living in St. Louis.
